Liam Neeson (born William John Neeson) is an Oscar-nominated Irish actor best known for his roles as Oskar Schindler in the 1993 blockbuster, Schindler's List and as the Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Movies and his family are only part of his life - he is also deeply involved in many humanitarian causes for a better world. He is the longest-serving Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF Ireland, and passionately advocates support for children with AIDS in Africa. He is also a supporter of the ONE campaign working to fight against AIDS and extreme poverty around the world. Liam Neeson is a patron and advocates for the Down's Syndrome Association, a British organization helping people with Down's syndrome to live full and rewarding lives.
